Caring for your Porcelain Steel Stove – Pacific Energy

Caring for your Porcelain Steel Stove

Important tips to care and maintain the lustrous porcelain enamel finish on your new stove.

Pacific Energy has perfected a porcelain enamel finish that fuses with steel to create an inseparable bond with the flexibility and firmness of metal and the glossy hardness of glass. By inserting the components into our in-house flow-through furnace where temperatures exceed 1500 degrees Fahrenheit, the steel and enamel bind to create a new compound – Porcelain Steel.

THE CARE AND HANDLING OF PORCELAIN ENAMEL STOVES

Our porcelain enamel stoves are coated with the very best quality materials and as evenly and smoothly as the limitations of the process will permit. Careful inspection of each piece is done in the different stages of manufacture and variations, such as a few pin holes, minute scratches or lines, or small specks of foreign matter in the enamel, cannot be entirely prevented.

ABSOLUTE PERFECTION IS NOT GUARANTEED OR COMMERCIALLY POSSIBLE

The porcelain enamel finish on stoves is guaranteed only to the extent of furnishing new parts for any found defective in the manufacture. CAUTION: Porcelain enamel is breakable and must be carefully handled.

CLEANING PORCELAIN ENAMELED STOVES

Porcelain enameled stoves should be cleaned with clean cloths, warm water and soap. Avoid the use of gritty soaps and acids. Dry the stove thoroughly before firing. Do not attempt to wash the enamel when the stove is hot.

HANDLING PORCELAIN ENAMELED STOVES

Porcelain enameled stoves should be handled carefully. You should keep in mind the character of the enameled surfaces and the fact that they must be handled with some care. When moving enameled stoves, do not drag or “walk”. See that sufficient help is provided to handle the stoves properly. Do not lift by the ash lip or put weight on top of the stove.
